DAY TWO
DAY TWO: Grey denim shorts, Topshop
When the sun comes out and it’s baking hot like it has been recently, my usual instinct is to reach for my denim thigh skimming shorts. Unfortunately, while my office dress code is relatively liberal, it’s not quite that liberal yet so instead I wear this pair a lot during the summer. I must’ve bought these about seven years ago but they have stood the test of time and touch wood, they’re yet to fall apart on me.
Despite the fact that I weigh considerably more than I did when I purchased them, they still fit perfectly (although maybe a touch more snugly than they once did). They’re actually meant to come below the knee but since that’s such an awful length on someone as short and chubby knee’d as myself, I simply flipped up the ends to cuff them; lo and behold, awesome shorts knee shorts. Also, the fact that they’re grey rather than blue gives them a slightly smarter feel in my opinion. I love grey denim but I’ll save that spiel for another day.
