DAY SIX & SEVEN

DAY SIX & SEVEN: Cotton tank, Illustrated People/American Apparel; Denim shorts, Zara

Apologies for the delay in posting Days Six & Seven, apparently even with a new modem our home broadband connection still leaves a lot to be desired. I wanted to do these two days as a combined post since I couldn’t decide which was a more heroic piece and the fact that I wore the shorts on both days meant that it made more sense this way.

Let’s start with the tank, shall we? In the summer, I pretty much hate wearing sleeves so my wardrobe comprises mainly of tanks. I love American Apparel ones as the cotton is super soft and the cut, although a little bit low on the front, is really flattering, although I tend to go up a size to avoid cleavage spills. I think at last count I owned six of them, including this one by Illustrated People which is printed on an AA tank. For a close up of the print, click through to the read more section.

Worn with: Denim shorts, Zara; Gold sandals, Topshop; Studded bag, Max C; Gold aviators, Military issue.

Next up, we have denim shorts. As soon as the temperature hits 20C, out come the denim shorts and there they stay until September. I own four pairs of varying lengths and colours but these dark grey studded ones from Zara are my favourites, probably because as they’re a darker colour no grass stains show up. This makes them perfect for rolling around at festivals and in the garden, plus their studded waistband is a cool detail and the fact that they have a turn up means that they can be made a little longer for those occasions that require an extra inch of fabric. For a closeup photo, click through to the read more section as well.

Worn with: Grey tank, Illustrated People (Day six); Cream and gold tee, Silence & Noise (Day seven); Gold sandals, Topshop; Studded bag, Max C.
