DAY EIGHT

DAY EIGHT: Khaki peg trousers, Silence+Noise

These trousers are somewhat a labour of love. I started searching for a pair back in late March; I trekked up and down the high street and I reckon I must have tried on at least 20 pairs before I finally found my match in Urban Outfitters. Being short and owning a bum plus some normal sized thighs meant that a lot of the rejects made me look like I was wearing an adult nappy or smuggling a pair of hams down my trousers. One pair even made it look like I had a long oblong box resting squarely across my thighs and by that point, I almost decided to call it a day and give up entirely on this particular look.

A completely chance visit to Urban Outfitters to look for something entirely different took me to this pair and although it took a further two visits until they restocked my size, the wait was worth it as these really are fantastic summer trousers - roomy, light and a great shade of green that will work with much of my current wardrobe.

Worn with: Grey printed muscle tee, H&M; Pewter leather slides, Primark; Yellow satchel, Asos; Tortoiseshell sunglasses, Carrera.
