DAY EIGHTEEN
DAY EIGHTEEN: Denim shirt dress, Primark
Much has been made of denim this summer - skirts, shirts, dresses, shoes, even (gulp) double denim and usually I am of the great belief that denim should stay firmly on one’s legs but thanks to Stella McCartney, every girl worth her fashion salt has been after a denim dress or one of those button down skirts. Not being the girliest of girls, I was after something a little less lady-like than the button downs that have been floating around and a chance trip to Primark to return some hideous impulse purchase led me to this shirt dress which is much more my style.
Unfortunately, as is typical, the day I decide to wear it is the day that the weather gods have also decided to make it freezing cold, with predicted rain and strong winds. Joy. So, into my bag goes a pair of leggings for the inevitable thunderstorm that will no doubt hit when I’m in town later.
